What happens if Siberia became independent from Russia?

This set after the civil following the collapse of the Russian Empire. How long you think an independent Siberian state will lasts in 20th century? How would this impact on the region?

Well, from what I've researched, it's not easy for Siberia to be independent, much less an independent sovereign state. Mainly because low population, lots of empty spaces and Russia wants Siberia to remain.

Depends on what replaces the Russian Empire.

A “balkanised” Russia with various Cossack States, an independent Ukraine, separate Baltics and maybe even a Belarus state of some kind? Then every possibility it retains its independence.

If, given any scenario, a “majority” polity of some kind (red, white, monarchist, Fascist, Republican, whatever) emerges, then it’s unlikely as retention of the peripheries is almost a certainty.
