AHC/WI:James Monroe's Third Term

We all know that James Monroe refused to run for a Third Term, preferring to lay down power like his predecessors, and also imitating Washington.

What If: James Monroe, seeing the splintering/infighting of his successors, Jackson, Adams, Crawford and Clay ended up throwing himself into the ring again and declared his candidacy so as to keep the party unified. His second Term certainly showed that he was incredibly popular, being that there was no opposing candidate for wither party (excluding that one vote for Adams). Could he possibly carry this again? Would this at all work?

No opinions yet...?

Well, how about for his cabinet.

Vice President: John C Calhoun
Secretary of State: Henry Clay (if Adams refuses)

Perhaps he could still keep Crawford. Maybe Have Jackson as secretary of war, then again, he might not take any of them.
