AHC/WI: Germanic or Finnic dominated East

In OTL,Germanic peoples are the ones who swept through Western Europe inserting a large genetic and cultural influx and eventually becoming majority in many regions the previously living Celtic people and Romans in West Central Europe and England and eventually converted to Christianity or were already Christian and hence placed large Christian Settlements which grew up to be the superpowers UK,France,Spain,Austria,Switzerland,Scandinavia and Northern Italy who in turn dominated and dominate the later eras.
In this ATL,there are two Germanic confederations. One sweeps the West as OTL but the other sweeps the East like the other swept the West. They quickly establish themselves over the previously living Scythians, some Turkic(or if they migrate earlier,Tocharians) peoples in the Volga region and large parts of Central Asia taking the same culture and same types of settlements there and eventually the settlements would grow into similar Germanic nations in the East too. Balto-Slavs still dominate the Danube,Baltic regions,North Central parts of Russia and Balkans. So how would this timeline turn out for Europe,Asia and the whole world in the Middle ages? How would Rome turn out? Middle East? Mongols? India(Central Asian dynasties ruled India in the Middle ages)?Persia? Islam and Christianity? Caucasian peoples? Anatolia? Byzantines?

Groups did head East just like they headed West. The destination of them all were the richer Roman territories. The groups heading east moved to the Black Sea coasts.
Why on earth would they head onto the poorer steppes?

I don't think you can have OTL and "the same but in the East", unless you find some POD to credibly increase proto-Germanic population numbers dramatically. Germanic migrations going primarily Eastward (instead of Westward) due to being blocked in the West is possible, however (POD: greater degree of Celtic organisation and greater concentration of all Celts in the Western areas, thus leading to them having the concentrated numbers and the strength able to repel the Germanics for the most part).

As @The Professor notes, though, they'd end up going towards the Black Sea coasts. Naturally, that would not be an obstacle. You could end up with a Germanic culture centred on the Crimean peninsula, and/or founding and alt-Kiev. If this realm is powerful enough and densely settled enough, pretty much all of European Russia will almost inevitably become absorbed by it. Especially if the Germanic peoples are migrating from southern Scandinavia, and some remain in that area. In OTL, Scandinavian Germanic peoples played a serious role in shaping (proto-)Russian history, and if alt-Russia (as a region) is in between two cores of Germanic culture (which may both seek to trade with the other), the cultural influence would easily be dominant.

Okay, let's say a climatic warm period causes the region from Upper Alps to Scandinavia to be very suitable for agriculture. Then?

Then we are speaking of ASBs. This is not the right subforum for that. More realistically, an ATL early invention of the heavy plough by the ATL Germanic settlers of the region that roughly corresponds to OTL Ukraine will suffice. That region has rich, fertile soil-- but soil that is heavy, and was difficult to fully utilise before a cast-iron plough was available. If this were to be available much earlier (as early as it was in, say, China) then *Ukraine would become capable of supporting a staggeringly vast population (in comparision to surrounding regions).

Does Finnic include Ugric peoples as well? You might have Hungarians immigrated South-Eastwards for example, I find hard to have Germanic people move through the Steppes while there is still a south-wards Slavic movement, if anything you could have Germanic people take over the Dnieper basin and possibly have a Slavic-Sarmatic mix going into the Volga and Central Asia, but Germans? Seems weird.
