AHC/WI: Extend the Uttarapatha

The uttarapatha was the route formed by indo aryan tribes as they migrated along the Ganges across north India- by the post Vedic period, it had pretty much reached Bengal, and state formation solidified and populations became less mobile and pretty much established Bengal as the easternmost realm of political India- what if the uttarapatha managed to get beyond into modern south east Asia or maybe even foraying into modern southern China? Is it possible to get this without delaying indian state formation and losing Buddhism and the mauryans? Would the easternmost Sanskritised kingdoms end up sinicised by proximity even with constant contact with their western counterparts?

The reached arakan but they got bamarized. There were actually ancient indian communities in yunnan province. I think a good POD would have the kamrup kingdom begin colonizing and absorbing tribes eastward until the rule the pyu and mon. This would be much later than the POD and around 100 BC.
