AHC/WI: Britain neutral in WW2 until at least Pearl Harbour

With a POD of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to make Britain neutral in WW2 for as long as possible, bonus if you explain it's effects on the present day, cold war if there is one, decolonisation and the second world war.

Without the British being distracted with a minor dispute with Italy and Germany I seriously doubt the Empire would be that foolish to start a war with the US

France probably won't declare war on Germany unilaterally, which means there is no World War II as we know it. Hitler consolidates in Poland and then either invades or doesn't invade the Soviet Union. At that point we're so far beyond anything relating to real history that you're basically just writing speculative fiction.
