AHC/WI: Andrew Jackson kills Henry Clay or John Calhoun?

A quote often attributed to Andrew Jackson was "My only two regrets in life are that I did not hang Calhoun and shoot Clay." How can we get Jackson to kill one or the other, duel, murder, whatever. What would be the fallout and public reaction for it?

South Carolina secedes. Calhoun gloats about it to Jackson's face, who in anger kills his hitherto VP.

Depending on when Jackson would have killed Henry Clay it would be interesting to see if Clay's 'American System', a sort of strain of Hamiltonian government, would had become firmly established. One of Clay's 'disciples' was Abraham Lincoln, he said as much at one point.
