AHC/WI: 1848 Revolutions

How is it possible to make the Revolutions of 1848 succeed, and, if it does, what are the repercussions in the world, and how does said world look like in, say, 1900?

Well in Germany start with no Bismarck, he was main responsible for getting the Prussian state machine again working. So trained Soldiers vs. Citizens, gues whos winning? No Bismarck= Successful revolution in Prussia.

You need less internal strife in the German Confederation, a weaker Austria and no 'June days' in France. Had 1848 seen the rise of liberal democracy across Europe, you may have seen a more sensible German leadership, a stronger France and earlier union for Italy and maybe even a surviving Austro-Hungary

If you have Lamartine's promise to the rest of Europe upheld through whatever means, you might have surviving Liberal/Nationalistic states. The problem is there though, you are going to have to find compromises that unify the liberals and nationalists.
