The trick would be to treat the idea entirely seriously and write a serious technothriller about the diplomats and pressganged historians-turned-translators and archeologists trying to negotiate with the resurrected Pharaoh who possesses the secret of magical immortality and whose zombie armies now hold all the middle eastern territory with oil underneath it and a superior alternative energy source.
