The Adivasi are the indigenous peoples of India. While they were thought of as being uncivilized and primitive by the Dravidians and Indo-Aryans, they weren't considered inherently inferior or intrinsically impure. Some individuals rose to prominence, Adivasis often enjoyed autonomy, and in some areas it was considered crucial for rulers to secure the support of the local Adivasi communities. There were even Adivasi kingdoms in Central India, some of which saw Adivasi royals and nobles ruling over Dravidian and Indo-Aryan subjects without much complaint. However, after the arrival of the Mughals, the Adivasi started becoming increasingly marginalized, a trend that only continued under British rule.
Your challenge is to make it so that rather than being marginalized, the Adivasi become dominant in huge tracts of India, if not the entire subcontinent.
