To remove the cooperation between Nasser's Egypt and the Soviet Union, the West should have actually financed the construction of the Aswan Dam, and for the US to actually allow Nasser to purchase weapons in the West. Of course, Western funding for the Aswan Dam's construction could butterfly the Suez Canal's nationalization, and at the same time the "Czech arms deal" scandal can be prevented as well.
Unfortunately, this will have one side effect: no introduction of peacekeepers, meaning that Lester B. Pearson doesn't win the Nobel Peace Prize.
