AHC: US version of BBC Proms?

ABC, NBC, or CBS must have a contemporary or similar version of the BBC proms (eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts and other events held annually). Places for performance include Carnegie Hall in NYC, and DAR Constitution halls but any others are welcomed to be used.

Hmmm....

Maybe PBS could've done something similar with either the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC, the New York Philharmonic or the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Or...

WGBH Boston could produce broadcasts of the Boston Pops in the Proms tradition?
