After World War II the challenge is to find a way in which French Guiana, Dutch Guiana, and British Guiana could have conceivably united as an independent state of some sort.
For extra hard difficulty start after 1975, when British Guiana and Dutch Guiana were already independent as Guyana and Suriname, respectively.
Alternatively, the unification of just British and Dutch Guiana (or Guyana and Suriname) would also be acceptable.
