AHC: turmoil in '70s leads to U.S. libertarian socialist Third Party?

yes, we seem to go for plain vanilla, neutral sounding names. George Wallace in '68, I think he called his party 'The American Independent Party' (or was it an existing party?)

Well, this time it works out differently. The Lib Socialists embrace the European model that we're going to advocate for little d democracy in the workplace.

But then they hear so many reservations: "tyranny of the majority," "as much as I'd like to say it's the supervisors, in most workplaces it's been my fellow employees," "hey, won't workers just really try to hold down hiring new people?" Even criticism on the part of business persons that worker-run businesses will be too cautious and risk-adverse, to the harm of the overall economy.

And thusly, the U.S. Lib Socials decide to put dogma on the shelf and energetically embrace a healthy interchange between theory and practice.
