AHC: Three-century US political dynasty

With a POD after 1776, create an American political dynasty which produces presidents in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Bonus if you can include the 18th century.

By "dynasty", I mean a family related by blood or marriage, and retaining the same surname. It can't just be an organization like Tammany Hall.

The Roosevelts do seem like a good bet, especially since you can include the 18th century.

The POD can be that Isaac Roosevelt is called upon to defend the federalist principles at the constitutional convention at a crucial moment. Simply have another prominent, like Hamilton, be inconvenienced that day. Roosevelt makes a name for himself by admirably defending the proposed constitution, and advances through the ranks of the Federalist Party. Later on, Washington appoints Roosevelt to a prominent post in his cabinet.

Roosevelt, instead of Adams, gets the support of the Federalists to run for president when Washington retires--and is duly elected.

The increased political success of Isaac Roosevelt leads to more political involvement among his descendants, who soon become very wealthy, as they did IOTL. During the 19th century, one of them runs for president. IOTL, Jacobus Roosevelt III, Isaac Daniel Roosevelt and James Roosevelt all had the wealth to at least try to gain the presidency. One of them (or an ATL counterpart) might well succeed, especially if the family tightly aligns itself with the Republicans during and after the Civil War.

In the other line of the family, Robert Roosevelt (brother of Theodore sr.) was a congressman IOTL, so he might also be considered.

When the progressive era comes, the Roosevelts join that bandwagon as they did IOTL, and someone like TR and/or FDR gets elected in the 20th century.

The problem would be to continue after that. Needless to say, by that point the family history will be so radically butterflied that it will consist of different persons than it did IOTL. They might be found on the same side of the political spectrum, but it's impossible to predict what those individuals might be like, and wether one of them might eventually become president in the 20th century.

Since the Roosevelts are a family of wealthy philantropists, who by that point in the ATL have produced at least three presidents, and their name will be pretty much synonymous with "progressive," it is not unlikely that a scion of the family will run for president at some point... and win.

Alphonso Taft was a prominent Republican jurist, and barely lost the nomination after his public perception was soured by ruling against Bible reading in public schools. If he doesn't take Board of Education of Cincinnati vs. Minor and is nominated for the Republicans as President in 1876, he'll probably win easily(he was a stronger candidate than Hayes), and Reconstruction continues.

Either William Howard Taft or Robert Taft are elected in the 20th Century, and Ohio Governor Bob Taft could win in an alternate 2008 or 2012. I'm assuming that with more prestige behind him, Bob wouldn't be such a colossal fuckup.

Was not on of JQ Adams a notably succcesful diplomat in England. Might he have become sec of state and President

Actually had he been Arthur's sec of state and the succession law been amended a little early he could have directly become President.

I do not know of further desendants but.....

Wikipedia has an article on the Adams family (not to be confused with the Addams Family, who are slightly different).

In addition to Charles Francis Adams, there are a few more mid-level politicians (e.g. Hoover's Secretary of the Navy), but few major candidates.

The Roosevelts seem easier to pull off.

The Roosevelts might be easier to pull off, but the Adamses produce fewer butterflies.
