AHC: the U.S. as a constitutional monarchy

The premise of this scenario is the U.S. has to have a monarch in at least a ceremonial role in 1787. It can remove said king at any point, including by military coup. A VERY different 2017 can have a Republican(as in kingless) U.S. What are the implications of this(no information on anything that happens after 1830, though)??? Bonus points if slavery is, even not outright abolished, actually "withering away" by 1830(the image of a Southern preacher in OTL preaching slavery as a good thing does not exist in TTL as Antebellum never happens).

How about the timeline of the anime, Code Geass, in which an American defeat in the Revolutionary War caused by a traitorous Benjamin Franklin botching the Franco-American Alliance leaves North America under British rule, and as a safe haven to British nobility fleeing Britain after Napoleon wins the Battle of Trafalgar and invades. After the Napoleonic Wars, North America becomes the "Holy Empire of Brittania," and by the 1960s, has an Emperor, a capital named "Pendragon," and giant mechas called "Nightmares" (in the anime, that is)

The show's great, but the timeline of Code Geass was fucking bullshit. They committed a thorough genocide of butterflies.

Suppose there is more chaos in the period between independence and the constitutional convention which leads to enough people of influence becoming apprehensive about having a Republic.

Nathaniel Gorham sends his offer to Prince Henry of Prussia to become King of America and he accepts.
