So let’s say Wilhelm II is born perfectly healthy. In fact, not only is he born a healthy man, he in fact grows up to be a genius, who is deeply invested in military studies. He is basically a Napoleon of his age, and well known to be an extremely capable strategist and soldier by the start of WW1.

But how far can a Napoleon of this age go? There are the well-known limitations on the military of this era of course, but what’s the best he could make of it? Will he be limited by the general staff or does he make better use of them, putting the best men in the best positions?

So here’s the challenge. How could a German Napoleon of WW1 change the course of the war. Better tactics, such as earlier stormtroopers? Better strategy, such as a Russia First strategy or an ATL Schlieffen plan? Can he influence his allies, such as A-H to perform better?

One rule though: no wonderweapons.
