I don't think a real negotiated peace would be possible, one side or the other was going to win and both sides were not going to accept less given the leadership of the time.IMHO the only way it's Germany deciding probably just after Brest-Litivosk or/and Caporetto that total victory or even a simple victory in the long run it's not possible with the Americans in the entente and the better way it's a real negotiatiated peace...aka yes Berlin need to accept reality and give some serious concession (better if up front).
Things like renouncing her colonial empire in exchange of the territory of B-L, allowing the partition of the OE and A-H (in the last case even partecipating at it), leaving Belgium and give up the French part of A-L...and pay reparation
