AHC the East India Company still exists in 2017

How do you get the British East India Company to still exist in the present day? By still exist, it has to have shares listed on the London exchange. It doesn't have to still be running India.

It should make some markable economic changes. And might be that it should give its military to directly led by British government. Then it could continue its existence. Another thing how it would survive from independent process of India what is unavoidable.

I think it's worth mentioning that the Hudson's Bay Company still exists. I've not idea how to make the East India Company survive to the present day. I suspect that when Indian became independent it would have been split into two companies which the Governments of India and Pakistan would have nationalised.

They were dissolved after the Sepoy War, though many of their operations and assets were already being subsumed by the Crown, the war just sped that up. With the right POD you could maybe have the Crown 'nationalise' the company and use it as an administrative tool between Britain and their Indian assets, and by the time Britain leaves India -if they do- the Company could have a stake in all sorts of enterprises. I was thinking of doing a timeline a while ago where something like this happens and India develops into a corporatocratic, quasi-socialist Dominion.
