AHC: Successful Revolution in the Austrian Empire

The challenge is for a successful revolution in the Austrian Empire in the 19th century. It cannot be a series of nationalist/separatist revolutions. It can be a liberal or socialist revolution or one of any other political stripe as long as the ideology itself doesn't involve breaking up the state. Renaming and/or changing the nature of the state is just dandy though. Some form of extreme devolution is also okay. The Hapsburgs are allowed to stick around as puppets if you think they're symbolically necessary to hold the supranational state together.

EDIT: It doesn't matter if the revolution starts during the Austrian Empire or the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

In the 19th century such a revolution could only happen in Austria other parts are set to have nationalism inspired revolutions that in most cases had a socialist message (the Croatian one abolished serfdom). For that to change you would need a PoD prior to Maria Theresa.

What? Are we ignoring all the OTL revolutions and uprisings in the Hapsburg lands in the 19th century?

1848 Revolution is successful, with the uprising in Prague taking longer to put down, so there's no time or spare manpower to put down the Vienna uprising, which successfully links up with the Hungarian revolutionaries. The Hapsburgs are forced to admit defeat, but aren't overthrown due to moderate forces in the revolutionaries, who are divided between multiple factions all with differing ideologies and agendas.

And Russia promptly invades, and puts down the "rebellion".

Doubtful. Russia was very slow to intervene IOTL, even after Franz Joseph begged from his knees and kissed Nicholas' ring. A revolution that institutes a liberal conditional order while preserving the old regime isn't likely to be enough to motivate the Russians to intervene.
