AHC: Successful "Religion of Humanity"

According to wiki: "Religion of Humanity" is a secular religion created by Auguste Comte, the founder of positivist philosophy.

It was somewhat popular in France and Brazil, even influencing Brazil's flag.

The challenge is to make it, or something like it, much more successful. Either the official religion of a country, Brazil being the obvious choice, or the de facto religion of a country.

The two obvious paths forward I see are to either replace the Catholic Church or to subsume it:
1. If the Papal States were responsible for the unification of Italy, and the decree of papal infallibility still was declared, might that be enough for other countries to perceive the Catholic church as less universal, and more looking to grab temporal power. This might spur an anti-catholic reaction, and the Religion of humanity might be able to replace it's role in one or more countries.
2. Alternatively, if Brazil say, went down the Anglican route in the late 1800, could Pedro have shifted the church in the direction of the Religion of humanity?

I look forward to seeing what you come up with

Nope. Brazilian positivism was very republican in its nature. Any such shift would never happen under a monarchical regime, especially a Catholic one.
