AHC: Successful Québecois War of Independence pre-Cold War

Alright, the challenge here is simple: a French-Canadien state created by a revolt, before the onset of the Cold War. The opportunities I see here are during or right after the French & Indian War, the Napoleonic Wars pre-1812, the Patriotes Rebellion, and WW1.

Bonus points if supported by France & not Germany or the US, double bonus points if they expand to claim most of Eastern Canada, triple bonus points if they form a nationalist identity complete with irredentism and attempt, and even better, succeed, in reconquering what was New France, northern New England, Acadia, the Mississippi and the West. You win life if they have a form of aristocracy and a King.

You can take any PoD you wish (or several) to create a situation where that would be possible, with or without foreign support.

Bonne chance!

I'm actually debating on doing this on my TL.

I'm trying to find how to pull the trigger for this.

But what I want is basically that some US-American volunteers go help the French during their Revolution, but end up disenchanted, if not outright disgusted by the extremes of the Reign of Terror, so they make arrangements to help several of the more moderate liberals and even a few nobles escape to the US. Amongst them, is the surviving Louis XVII, saved and taken under John Adam's wing.

Years later, maybe with the Quasi-War escalating or some other cause, up to the war of 1812, the Québécois rebel, demanding a Bourbon king. And either Burr or Hamilton, sneaky as ever, convince Adams to allow the now young man he raised to face his duty as King of Québec.
