AHC: States Secede From the Union After the Constitutional Convention But Before The War of 1812

The period between 1787 and 1815 was perhaps the most unstable period in American history due to the government being new and the people unsure of how it would be functioning alongside political divisions between federalism and anti-federalism. Your challenge is to have at least one state secede from the Union between 1787 and 1815 based on events and circumstances from OTL, preferably those that don't involve representation of slaves or abolishing the slave trade because that's been done to death and back.

Bonus if they secede in order to rejoin the British Empire
That's basically the "you'll be back" scenario
Yes, this is a Hamilton joke

That's before the Constitutional Convention. A bit too early. I was thinking after the Constitutional Convention.
