AHC: Spanish-speaking Southern Italy

I don't pretend to know anything about the Church, so there's no need to word your point so sharply.

My other ideas still stand, I think. Introducing Spanish as the lingua franca of the nobility and the court will eventually cause it to trickle down into society. Or, it might not stick, but it's still an idea.

Sorry if I came off as a bit snippish, but I was just trying to explain the situation with the Church and Latin; looking back on it, actually, now that you mention it, I think that may have come across as quite a bit harsher than I intended. Sorry.:eek:

No worries. I was concerned I may have read too much into it anyway, as it is an internet message board and often tone can be misconstrued. :)
