AHC: Save The Twilight Zone

As historic as said series was, it only lasted 5 seasons. In 1964, CBS decided to cancel the series. "For one reason or other, Jim Aubrey decided he was sick of the show... [H]e claimed that it was too far over budget and that the ratings weren't good enough" -William Froug. ABC proposed picking up the show under the name Witches, Warlocks and Werewolves, but Rod Sterling was in no mood to do purely ghoul and graveyard shows. And so, the series ended in 1964, followed decades later by two of short lived revivals and a mediocre feature film.

The challenge is to save the Twilight Zone from it's 1964 cancellation.

I've always thought that the way the second Bob Newhart Show ended was very Twilight Zone. Budgets, bean counters, competition from the Outer Limits, which had almost no budget and looked like it, and fresh scripts to maintain high quality, these are problems to overcome. Sometimes, ya just don't know whatcha got. We'll always have Paris.
