AHC save the Sega Dreamcast

This challenge isnt to make the Dreamcast win its generation, but to have the Dreamcast and Sega to survive the sixth generation.

Rules, you can change anything you want including making it an add-on to another console, but it still has to be some sort of CD.

Ideas
A better 3D graphics chip that EA and other publishers were used too
More anti-piracy prevention
More Effective Bleemcast

Add a dvd drive. The reason why many bought a playstation 2 or a xbox was because of the ability to play dvd's on them. I got my xbox for that reason that way i had both a game console and a dvd player and kept using it as a dvd until i bought a blue ray last year. with a dvd drive and the head start they would get much bigger sales and a bigger consumer group.

Sega's reputation had been destroyed by their previous failures, and consumers had no confidence in Sega given that they were releasing new consoles every year. Sega had also found itself in serious financial trouble at the time because of the failure of the Saturn, which meant that they couldn't afford to sell the Dreamcast at a loss. Sega also had virtually no third party support.

Sega will need to make consumers certain that the Dreamcast will stick around for an extended period of time, first of all.

Secondly, include a functional DVD player (it allegedly had the capability IIRC, but was never used).

Third, getting third party support will be next to impossible, putting them at a disadvantage. What they would ultimately have to do is more or less support themselves completely. They already had an impressive list of 1st party lineups for the Dreamcast, but they'll need more. They'll have to invent a few top notch games right away that can give Sega a large enough boost to show they're viable, and get third party support.

After just how poorly the Saturn did, Sega had their work cut out for them. The Dreamcast was actually a decent job in OTL given the circumstances.
