AHC: Russian Colonial Wank

With a POD no earlier than 1300, create a plausible scenario in which Russia rules, at least:

-The OTL territory of the Russian Empire
-Alyeska
-Northern California and OTL western British Colombia
-Hawaii (doesn't have to be all of it, but must be at least one island in the archipelago)
-The Phillipines

...by 1900. Bonus points for Russian-owned lands in Japan and Korea, and extra bonus points if the Russians manage to rule all the way down to Baja California.

I'm doing a similar AH Challenge to this, but the only difference is that instead of having Russian rule in the western section of North America, it's a Russian Pan-Malay State or just the Philippines.

Huh, I didn't see that thread. Must be getting old...

And yeah, this can be the post-1815 empire.

If you got the time, go to the thread called AH CHallenge: Russian Pan-Malay State or just the Philippines. Or you could go to my profile and find my threads.

Even better, the PoD starts in 1689 at the Russo-Manchu Border conflict. Say that conflict gets worse and Russia has delivered an early death to the Qing Dynasty as a new Han Chinese dynasty emerges, and it could be the restored Ming Dynasty.

I've got another author making the maps, so in the meantime, we should probably discuss about the effects of a Russia looking east instead of west on other empires. I don't know what the result would be for Poland-Lithuania, the Ottoman Empire, England, France, Germany (or rather, the German states), Italy, Spain and Portugal.

They might be able to keep Hawa'ii...........don't count on California and B.C. though; or even Alaska for more than perhaps a century unless gold somehow miraculously gets discovered.

ZachScape made a rough draft of a map on a Russian dominated Philippines, and it does include Alaska, Yukon and BC, along with parts of Alberta, NWT and Saskatchewan. It's on my thread. I believe if the USA lost the Civil War, they wouldn't be able to buy Alaska, like they did in OTL. Or if some advisor told Alexander II not to sell Alaska and they found gold there, then it would be plausible.

There's a novel on an ATL where Alaska is kept within Russia's possession, called Russian Amerika. If you would like to discuss this further, you can leave your comments on my AH Challenge: Russian Dominated Pan-Malay State or just the Philippines.

"Miraculously"? There wouldn't need to be a miracle for gold to be discovered. Nothing miraculous about it at all.

Let me comment here first before your thread to settle something. There was never any USA in the map I made. In the map I made, the British lost TTL's version of the 7YW/F&I War, which in its own will require quite a bit of work to make that plausible. Now, with the British loss in the war, the Dominion of America is created as well as the British Colony of New England.
With the French focused on colonizing their new found territory, the Russians were able to explore and claim vast amounts of land that nobody else would even care about.
Eventually, an Oregon type dispute is created between Russia/France and Spain. Russia/France wins, France gains a Pacific Port, and Russia gains the territory they wanted leading to Northern California.

So it's not that Russia is able to populate all these places all too well, but instead France leaves them to their own devices. And the populations they would get would almost certainly be a Manchu/Sino majority.

Hopefully this answers both threads questions, and is not a hijacking. In order to keep it from being one, I would appreciate if any quotes from this post are taken to Sibirskaya's thread.
