AHC: Revolution in Germany more successful?

A sort of challenge, as well as an asking how it could be done, find a way to make the 1848 Revolution in Germany more successful than it was in our timeline. This does not mean that they actually have to win altogether, just make them cause more change, or perhaps be of a larger scale which makes putting it down take longer, and what sort of consequences this might have on future political developments.

Ahem. (filler filler filler)

It is also about to happen in my tl.

If things had gone just a little differently, the frankfurt assembly could have produced a much earlier 'united' 'german' reich. One thing they really needed was a plausible candidate to offer the crown to. In my tl, prussia shoots itself in the foot in 1830, and the crowm is offered to someone else. Of course this means that prussia is not part of the new empire.

Success in 1848 in germany is, imo, the most plausible of the various 1848 revolutions. Slightly different conditions or leadership could help it a lot.
