AHC: Reverse the outcomes of the Korean and Vietnam wars

With a POD after September 2, 1945, have the Korean War end with a unified Communist Korea while the Vietnam War ends with the North-South division of Vietnam more or less maintained. Bonus points if said unified Communist Korea adopts PRC-esque economic reforms (like Vietnam IOTL) while North Vietnam becomes a batshit insane "communist" dictatorship which often flings missiles about and threathens it's neighbors with war and South Vietnam is a thriving democracy, albeit a corrupt one.

Not as challenging as you'd think, actually. Korea could have ended in a communist victory had North Korea been fast enough, or the Soviet Union choosing not to boycott the UN summit and veto the resolution for intervention in Korea. This would have led to a harsher stance from America, who'd be even more determined not to let another domino fall, and thus plant the foot more firmly in the ground in Vietnam. Problem is, a united Korea under communism is easy to accomplish, as is the development of a Korean Doi Moi in that scenario; but keeping Vietnam divided is not. Unlike the Korean peninsula, Vietnam's borders are porous enough to allow the communist to funnel resources and rebels through neighbouring Cambodia and Laos. This meant that containment is a lot harder here than it is in Korea. Of course, in this case, the American government would have cared even less about casualties and expenses, not after the Korean scare.

Arguably, this could be done with a Nationalist victory in the Chinese Civil War.

As far as the Korean War is concerned, South Korea was only saved because of direct military intervention by the US under the banner of the UN. Provided the US isen't willing (or is at least hesitates sufficiently) to send in a large army without UN approval, the Soviets could simply veto the UN resolution from its permenant position on the security council. Since they'll not be boycotting the proceedings due to the "wrong" government having China's security council seat and a border from which to intervene in support of North Korea if the US decides on unilateral anyways, this is a perfectly feesable event.

Of course, this comes at a cost to the Communists in North Vietnam: No Communist China means their main supplier IOTL is gone, and they are the ones boxed in by hostile Capitalist powers. The Viet Cong, assuming they become a major threat, aren't going to be getting a lot of support, the Ho Chi Mein trail will be next to useless, and North Vietnam will likely be facing a Chinese-American backed Capitalist rebellion.

I don't see a complete reversal of Vietnam and Korea possible. The North Vietnamese had a much more free and divided Communist Party than North Korea ever did. You had two factions North First and South First, and the U.S "won" in Vietnam but would have needed to stay, considering all the losses a North Vietnam that was North Korea esqe in its economy wouldn't surprise.
