AHC: Reverse the fates of the Roman Empires

With a POD after 395, create a scenario where the Western Roman Empire largely weathers the 5th century while the Eastern Roman Empire falls in the 5th century. What PODs could reverse the fates of the two Roman Empires? What would the impact of a "reverse Fall of Rome" so to speak would be?

Romance Western Europe would be much more tied together, and depending on how long this lasts, may even result in a sort of Roman Nationalism in later ages.

Give the Western Empire the Eastern Emperors, and vice versa.
Wouldn't work, the reason for the fall of Western Rome was the failure to compromise with the Visigoths, if you simplify to much. Really the way to have it is that Stilicho survives, or that his successor takes power, and is pro-Gothic. If this happens the Goths can likely be used as a military force against the Vandals, if this happens and Gaul isn't ravaged, or at least North Africa is held. Then when the Huns come Western Rome doesn't collapse.

The Emperors here aren't the issue, at the time most the emperors on both sides where quite weak, the issue the the fact that this is one of those periods of almost Wankery where the perfect storm comes together and a very strong nation just gets totally fucked.

I don't know much of the Great Migrations, but how possible could it be that after some initial victories the Western Romans could to convince a great number of the Germanic tribes to ravage and settle the East instead? I heard the East did something like that in our TL, but I'm not sure if it's true.
