AHC : Reverse Israel-Palestine situation

With a PoD after WWII, how can Israel state or wannabe state could be in the same situation than OTL Palestinian Authority, towards an Arab Palestina/or a neighbooring arab state that had to own British Mandate of Palestina.

Bonus point if Israel is supported by left-wing movments, including anti-imperialists, communists and leftists ones.

Double bonus point if Palestina is supported by conservatives.

you mean like no Jewish state but a Jewish minority using terrorism to try and get a state?

it wouldn't be a shock to have the USSR supporting them, they were the first country in OTL to recognize Israel and were very friendly with them till the mid-1950s, the Arab states were almost all British set up Monarchies that were very Western facing, and the Israelis were very very left wing more or less Communists, if they fail but aren't forced out, I can see the USSR and the US (maybe also UK) putting their foot down on the Arabs trying to force them out, the Arabs stay pro-western and the USSR supports the Jews.

Hm, the first thing that comes to mind is to have the Jews lose the 1948 war. In OTL, there were clashes between the British and Israeli revolutionary groups during the war. Maybe if those intensified, the Britsh would side with the Arabs. Even with Britsh support, though, it seems difficult to accomplish an Arab victory.

Maybe the British are even harder pressed to hold Egypt during the Second World War, and hand over de-facto control of the Mandate to Jordan, in exchange for policing Palestine and freeing up British soldiers. That might have made the broader Zionist community even more hostile to the Brits, who when the UN voted for partition, would have covertly supported a Jordanian annexation of the whole territory while publicly remaining neutral. In this case, You might actually see an alliance between Palestinian nationalists and Zionists, who would both hate the Jordanian monarchy more than each other. This could eventually lead to a independent Palestinian Republic on both sides of the river, where Jews are treated similarly to Israeli Arabs IOTL, as technically equal but in reality second class citizens. In this case, a significant part of the former Jewish insurgency might continue to actively fight for Zionism. Zionists both had more links with Communism and were more committed to it ideologically. You might end up seeing the Americans supporting the new Arab regime there fighting a Jewish Communist insurgency, backed by the USSR. Plausible? ASB?

I mean, possibly one of the most critical parts of the Israel-Palestine situation, the relations between Israel and Egypt/Syria/Lebanon/Jordan can't really be re-enacted in a "reverse" situation.
