AHC: Reconquista fails

I would like to know how do you think the reconquista can fail and whats consequences it would had, the POD should be after the battle of Covadonga in 722

Make some POD so that the Catholic Monarchs don't marry. At one point Navarre looked more attractive than Aragon, so that should be easy.

I'm afraid this ain't that hard a task. Reconquista, as a political ideology, was just a propaganda tool in times when the catholic monarchs were directly fighting the moors.
There are multiple PoD's:
-A surviving Caliphate of Cordoba. Perhaps, if we can avoid the financial and administrative strain put on the andalusian government by Almanzor and his conquests (maybe by butterflying him and his government away entirely, which is explored in a well-known recent TL, Moonlight In A Jar), we can avoid the disastrous taifa period.
-A reverse outcome at the Battle of Las Navas De Tolosa. While the survivability of the Almohad Caliphate is up to debate, the money gained from raiding and looting most of Iberia after a theoretical success in such a battle could aid the Almohads in their state-building a bit.
-A reverse outcome at the Battle of Rio Salado. A Marinid Andalus (or stronger Granada under Marinid moroccan suzerainty) would certainly be interesting.
Plus, there are even more PoD's after Salado, such as the Nasrid granadan succession war not happening at the same time as the Castilian-Leonese final invasion of the 1480's (which could, in theory, give Granada a better fighting chance) or even potential morisco revolts (there was a ploy in the 1560's-1570's in which the french Huguenots planned with the Ottomans to invade Aragon and spark a morisco revolt).
