The pulse-jets on the He162 existed only in design. Either two or four were proposed, but bearing in mind the structure (steel and plywood) they would have shaken the plane apart.

The use of pulse-jets on manned aircraft had bad vibes from the start.
 
Golly, I'm surprised this thread lasted so long. Even the Nazis quickly decided that, regardless of how cheap they were, pulse jets and manned aircraft did not play together well. And let's not get too excited about the myriad of sketch designs using pulse jets produced by Heinkel and others. Engineering firms can produce all sorts of designs when this is requested by clients.

I brought that up back in post #3, the OP was unshakeable that there had to be a set of circumstances in which they would deploy one anyway.
