AHC: Proportional representation in the UK, Canada, and/or Australia

The title is pretty self-explanatory, what POD would be required to give the UK, Canada, or Australia proportional representation in their lower houses? In the cases of Canada and Australia, likely with provincial party lists rather than national party lists. Outcomes with mixed-member proportional much like New Zealand are also welcome

Torydom and squatters (large aristocratic landowners) defeat liberal urban capitalism, rule of law and proper title in the 1820s.

As a result Australia’s democracy is much national and radical. The transition happens in the late 19th century with unicameral chambers of the entire territory being selected as single multiple member electorates.
