AHC: Prolong the Raj

Would Jinnah and the Muslim League have pushed as hard for Partition if they had foresight about the disaster that passes for modern Pakistan?
... ungovernable Tribal Areas, porous border with Afghanistan, violent muslim extremists killing ordinary Pakistani citizens, assassinations, military juntas, corrupt ISI and a slow economy ....

WI (wet) Bengal insisted on semi-autonomy .... distinct from (arid) Pakistan?

WI Sikhs insisted on a semi-autonomous Punjab?

Given that, from what I understand, Jinnah was about as religious as Ben Gurion (read: Not Very, At All) and quite Anglified if that is the word? He at least would have third and forth thoughts about his break with the Congress Party.

You can't just preserve the Raj in isolation- you have to preserve all the colonial empires. Colonialism has to be the norm, and Decolonization a distant dream at best.

So no ww1 or ww2 at the least.

Lighter versions (India nominally in the empire as part of the commonwealth, india as a titular dominion or set of dominions, etc) are much easier to achieve, but I don't think they count.
