AHC: Prevent the rise of "Young Adult Teen Drama" in Television and Pop Culture

Simply put, What could have been done to keep our TV "networks", especially Disney Channel(which has been accused of jumping the shark because of certain shows in the new millennium"), "badass" and not "lameass"?

If we have to remove certain shows, events or books, please explain what was done to avoid it.

1) Kill the CW - the merger between UPN and WB honed in on one demogrpahic, ie, tweens, teens and twentysomethings with a vengeance.

2) Make early tween shows flop, like the Hills, OC and such. Maybe have the stars go off the rails sooner than OTL.

3) Torpedo Twilight. This drove it into overdrive - give the twilight series some of the grassroots backlash Harry Potter had, and the series may not become as influential as it did.

Nooooooooooo

Not Smallville.

I enjoyed that show, far FAR more than I had any right too...

Actually, getting rid of Titanic should do the trick. That movie arguably set in the motion the cultural trends that ultimately led to what you're talking about.

Or somehow telling Cameron to tone down the "love story", or make it in a way like the OLD Titanic film cept with new effects.

Still Twilight DEFINITELY has to go, and Disney must not make the mistake it did OTL.
