AHC : Post War British National Govt or Grand Coalition

So, without use of nuclear weapons. Have a scenario that results in a interbellum style National government form. For more points have a Lab-Con Grand coaltion form. (formed after war. none of this @Mumby -ish continuation of pre or during war government, Bob, I love you Bob)

Points will be awarded for most creative scenario

And what do points win?

And the prizes this week is a bird that is trained to return to your 1960s Tory Prime Minister: its this Alec Douglas-Homing pigeon
(I know this doesn't work said out loud shut up)

Some sort of absurd "National Labour" +Liberals+ "National Conservatives" vs the more extreme flanks of both parties, in an alternate 1974 where all parties are imploding and none has any sort of mandate, let alone a majority?

The most obvious chance is in the 1970s, when it was suggested that moderates from Labour and the Tories (and probably the Liberals too) would come together to create some form of national government, most likely under Denis Healey.
