How can Poland survive partitions? They don't need to be very big, but just surviving somewhere while still calling themselves Poland. I was thinking maybe a bigger Free City of Krakow being an Austrian puppet state, but I'm not sure if Prussia/Russia would allow it and if Austria would allow it for any reason.

Bonus points for keeping them a monarchy, a hereditary monarchy, and for exploring what happens to tiny Poland in WW1 and/or WW2.

EDIT: Sorry, I should be more specific. I mean the re-partitioning of Poland after the Napoleonic Wars (the fall of the Duchy of Warsaw).

A) This should probably be in pre-1900
B) Avoiding the Third Partition, or at least minimising losses from it is probably your best bet for a small Poland.

If maintaining Congress Poland ITTL doesn't count, if the Crimean War* blows up even further, an independent** Poland gets created as a result.

*Or some other crisis that causes Russia to be involved in a war
**your independence may vary. Ask your peace conference if independence is right for you

Rump Poland survives. Count Kazimir Pulaski stays near Warsaw. His equestrian talents never come to help the American Revolution. Who leads the American cavalry? What happens to General Tadeusz Kosciuszko?

Well Congress Poland probably could have and should have really, they could have been left like a neutral buffer state but I see why it wasn't as it would have encouraged some level of regionalism and separatism in neighboring regions.
