The day after Poland announces its intent to support Czechoslovakia, Ribbentrop will by flying to Moscow and offering Stalin almost anything he wants in return for help. Will noble comrade Stalin refuse because he wants to uphold the independence of central European countries?

Once the Polish army is fully engaged, comrade Stalin will very kindly send 2 million additional volunteers without any guidelines.

I honestly wonder if Stalin can send that particular number. Also, given Stalin's purges I have to wonder just how effective beyond a certain point Soviet troops will be. We are talking 1939 here and the Soviet army may have been politically reliable by then but apparently not but so competent.

OTL was just under a Million if I remember right. Peacetime Strength in 1939 was right around 2M

1. Better military spending, no destroyers. Hence the 75mm AA, 37mm AT and 155mm FA guns and automatic rifles are in service in larger numbers than historically.
2. Puławski doesn't die in '31. Further the brothers Adamowicz aren't arrested and there's more interest in aviation in Poland.
3. In the early '30s Poland notices the research by Lodati and Schardin and becomes interested in Monroe-effect weapons, especially combined with Wood's fuze. The Poles develop infantry anti-armour weapons based on these technologies including an open-tube rocket launched based on the Goddard and Hickman design or 1918.
4. The German re-equipping with updated Enigma in the summer of '39 is slowed and teh Poles can continue to read their traffic.
5. Sanity breaks out and the Poles tell the UK and French to screw themselves and mobilise fully and early. Further they don't forward deploy to the same extent and their high command remains in Warsaw with proper comms.
6. The Poles successfully kill Hitler on 05OCT1939
7. Poland hold on and the UK and France actually help. This deters Soviet intervention and keeps the war going into the rainy season (which was later than usual in '39). French reconnaissance-in-force into Germany's western frontier shows how undefended it is. The RN looms ominously in the waters around Norway and Sweden.
