Help Germany? No way. Attack Poland? Sure, but they would do it in order to conquer it, not to help Germany.

Ie, the British remember that France had been THE ENEMY for centuries before the ascension of the German Empire, grow concerned about France trying to pull another Napoleon and put the rest of Europe under French boots through military conquest and occupation, and decide that it's necessary to intervene?
