AHC: Plantagenet Byzantine Empire

That's a big broad question that I'm probably not qualified to answer, but to answer your question probably no I'd think. The politics of Western Europe are pretty far from Constantinople, maybe by some fluke a Plantagent Latin Empire is possible.

Yes,but inheriting thrones through Royal marriages is impossible. After Richard, son of Henry II, was defeated by the combined forces of his brilliant older brother William (didn't die prematurely in this timeline) and that of his own father Henry II,he was left penniless and was forced to join the army of the Eastern Romans as a mercenary. With his skill,he was able to earn the patronage of Emperor Manuel I--thus quickly rise up in rank.Eventually,he was offered one of Manuel's many grand nieces as a wife.He managed to father a son. After Manuel died however, chaos broke out with Andronikos usurping the throne. The repression of the nobility made Andronikos' reign unstable.Sensing an opportunity,Richard proclaimed his son emperor and marched his army to Constantinople.Andronikos was overthrown and the son of Richard was quickly accepted as emperor.

Basically, they will first have to be accepted as 'natives' first. To be honest, even with the scenario I gave I think it is more realistic if there was an extra generation before the Plantagenets tried to claim the throne.
