AHC: Oust David Cameron pre-Indy Ref

Challenge is in the name. Remove David Cameron as Prime Minister prior to the 2014 referendum on Scottish independence (so no ‘Scotland votes yes!’, even if the referendum is backdated as originally mooted), at some point after the announcement of the coalition in 2010.

There were rumblings in 2013, with backbencher Adam Afriyie bizarrely fronting what seemed to be a half-hearted coup attempt that obviously fizzled out. Can you make Cameron’s removal work?

Perhaps the coalition negotiations between the Tories and Lib Dems don't work out.

Either there is a confidence and supply agreement, or the Tories try for a minority government (possibly the Tories win a few more seats?). However, it doesn't work out, there is a no-confidence vote and a new election is held. Cameron gets ousted as Tory leader following the result, being viewed as too ineffective.

How about the if the Lib Dems pull out of the coalition prior to the 2015 elections?

How and why though? Lib Dems wouldn’t want to be turkeys voting for Christmas!

Very plausible. But would Cameron really be ousted if he won re-election?
