AHC: Have Communist North Korea not become hereditary property of the Kim family or have Syria not become hereditary property of the Assad family.

---condition, somebody from the Kim family or Assad family must be dictator of their respective country for at least *some* period of time.

For North Korea, Kim Jong Il gets a sexually transmitted disease that renders him infertile before the sometime in the 1960s. Kim Jong Il makes his successor, Kim Yong Nam, and he becomes leader when Kim Jong Il dies.

I can't think of anything for Syria right now.
