AHC: Non-China/Japan Asian Power

What is POD? Can you define the Asia. Asia is too big and diverse.

Let me comment on East Asian states that can be Great Power same as Japan or China.
If it is post 1900 or even 1800's then best bet would be United Korea.
If it is post 1600's then Manchus and Korea.
If it is post 1400's then Mongols and Korea.

Basically this. There is no set PoD, so I could theoretically argue that with a PoD before 10,000 BC, China and/or Japan might not even exist as we know them today, and even if we limit ourselves to butterflies after 2000 BC, entities such as Assyria, Persia, and/or the Maurya could have been replaced with their alternate counterparts, leading to significantly different cultural trends. After 500 BC, Gojoseon, Buyeo, and/or Goguryeo could have consolidated their influence far beyond Liaoxi after firmly establishing themselves in Southern Manchuria and the Korean Peninsula, not to mention that Japan could even have been colonized after centuries of developments, while China could have remained divided longer before the Qin or after the Han. After 500 AD, Islam might be butterflied away, taking care of the Umayyads, while Korea could have managed to consolidate its hold on Manchuria long after 1000 through Goguryeo, Balhae, or Goryeo, while the Khmer could have further consolidated its position within Southeast Asia. After 1000, the Mongols could have developed differently, different Islamic entities could have emerged, India could have been reunified, Goryeo could have expanded into Manchuria, and geopolitics within Southeast Asia could have been radically altered, such as Champa continuing to resist Vietnam. The changes become less radical after 1500, and most of the trends are generally set in stone around 1700-1800, although some, if not all, of the states involved could have theoretically escaped their OTL fates concerning colonization.

Assuming by "Asia" you mean East Asia and don't include West, Central, and South Asia (because just "Asia" is very broad) the tricky thing I see is that China has a lot of the good agricultural territory, so before the industrial era it's hard to see a nation in that region that would be a serious competitor with it economically that wouldn't overlap with it territorially enough that it would look kind of like "China with different name/under foreign dynasty."
