AHC: No Neutrals in WW2

but they didn't. why? Because they are the ultimate neutral. Give a good reason for them to do it, the kings of the neutrality.

I interpreted the remark wrong, I read it as "Without them getting attacked after they declare war" not "Declares war without being attacked". About the only thing I can come up with is a US President so vindictive that he makes it clear that he will cut off trade completely from any country that doesn't declare war on Germany during his entire term at least. Not sure even that would work . It is my best shot though.

Many of the countries such as Turkey and Chile declaration of war against the Axis was done with military implications. By the time they declared war the allies were mopping up the Axis so there was no ramification.

Have the countries that declared war in 1945 treated the same as the neutrals. Plus many countries provided little to no support to the wR effort.

Let’s have the countries who declared war on the Axis for show only actually contribute to the war effort.

Germany offers enormous rewards for Spain to join in late June 40, part of French loot, Morocco, half of Algeria, even Senegal, part of Soviet grain and oils shipments. Spain Declares War on France and Britain.

The thing with Spain is that Franco was a general and compared to the two Axis corporals in chief, had a pretty good idea about what was and wasn't possible, military-wise.

Plus, he had on good authority that things weren't going to be so rosy for the nazis.

So, I believe for this to work, Franco has to go. Was there some suitable fanatic lined up?
