When reading about the Arab-Israeli Wars, I learned that Lebanon had actually had one civil war *before* the more infamous one in the 1970s-2000s. How might this war in the 1950s be averted, and what would be the consequences for Lebanon and the rest of the region if it was in fact averted? I can hardly see how averting this makes Lebanese history *worse* than it turned out IOTL, but on the other hand there does seem to be a bit of a fragile system that was imposed in the first place.....IMHO the biggest danger for Lebanon was that it tried to build a political system that was partitioned between three groups, but a system that didn't have much flexibility or means to change, especially with say, Syria over the border wanting to start playing king of the mountain.
