AHC: (Much) Earlier Weif England

William seems like a viable candidate for the throne in the event of Plantagenet extinction or ouster if we suppose he spends all his formative years in England. Maybe if Richard dies instead of Barbarossa, giving William more reason to stay out of Germany and less reason to end up there, meanwhile giving John more pressure to produce an heirs--who could include a girl old enough to marry William, if consanguinity can be papered over. I don't really see a good reason why William would deserve a royal bride, but getting one could hardly be a detriment regarding the challenge.

In OTL Richard I had installed his brother-in-law's other son as his heir until he saw a chance for his nephew to become German king and Roman emperor: Otto IV.
