AHC: More Shia Muslims Outside ME

The ME itself is more mixed sunni-shia but there is a huge gap outside of it (think Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.).

Your challenge is to get Shias to make up a higher percentage of muslims outside the ME (think 30-40%). Any POD before 1900s is fine.

Possible in India... I personally think it may have some success among Mongolians, don't ask me why.

The Oghuz Turks could turn Shia as well if it weren't for Shah Ismail of Persia. They weren't too Orthodox as Sunnis and too far away from Shiite influenced Sufism.
