AHC: Medieval Cuneiform.

Your challenge, if you choose to accept, is with a POD in 1200 BCE, create a scenario wherein Cuneiform of any language remains a powerfully in use by both religious and state authorities into the otl’s Middle Ages and beyond.

One scenario I would like to see, is if it is possible for a society to dual use an abjad/alphabet in conjugation with Cuneiform in a similar fashion to Japanese use of different characters borrowed from different systems. Or simply a case where Cuneiform appears often and is readable, but not written by the general populace which would use a more simplified system.

Ugaritic used a cuneiform abjad until Ugarit fell during the bronze age collapse. Have it survive and it should become an important site.

Old and Middle Persian also used such a script up until Alexander, so preventing Alexander's conquest of Persia should retain it.
