There were some medieval Anglo-Iberian ties of substance in OTL (Black Prince fighting in Castille, and Anglo-Portuguese alliance), but nothing like the mutual back and forth of invasions and attempted conquests like between France and England from 1066 to the mid-1500s.

How could we have a noble in Spain (Leon, Castile, Navarre, or a predecessor kingdom) having some theoretical claim to the english throne and conquer England? Could feudal ties somehow entangle England in an equivalent of the “100 years war” Leon, or Castille?

Did you exclude the Spanish Armada from your time frame on purpose?

Anyway, the Black Prince’s survival could possibly lead to some Iberian wedding.

Henry VIII has a son with Catherine of Aragon?
Arthur, let's call him Arthur for simplicities sake, decides to use his claim to try to counter the Hapsburg takeover of the Spanish throne, Ferdinand of Aragon throws himself into England's camp with his will (not unlike Charles the 4th of Spain's will) giving further Legitimacy to Arthur's claim. The war turns into a 1500s war of the Spanish succession.

Or else John of Gaunt has a son with Constance of Castile instead of a daughter. That boy could then later claim the Castilian throne through his mother...

No way that can work. Catherine is the youngest daughter of Ferdinand, so his claim would be the lowest. Only a son of Ferdinand would have a better claim (on Aragon only) than Charles but if Ferdinand of Aragon want prevent Charles takeover he would use either Ferdinand of Austria (who was born, grown-up and had always lived in Spain until the death of his grandfather Ferdinand) or Manuel/John of Portugal (husband and son of his daughter Maria, younger than Juana but older than Catherine) so

This can work very well instead

Yes - because its been considered alot in the past, and didn't even result in significant landings and land battles.

The above two sound interesting, about what years would these PoDs start diverging history?

John of Lancaster tried to invade Castille as he married Costanza of Castille which was the heir of Castille under the Borgoña dinasty that had been deposed by the Trastamaras.
He was pretty close to crowning himself king until the women in Palencia sabotaged his invasion (an event still celebrated in the city).
