In this thread, create a world Thanos would be all too proud to snap. Regardless of his opinion on the matter, it's up to you whether drastic population increase is a good or bad thing.
Here's my go at it:
World War II ends in a stalemate with the Third Reich existing into TTL's Cold War and somehow acquiring nuclear weapons, aggressively promoting German women to have as many children as possible, with Slavs kept around in the New Order as a chattel slave labor force.
Meanwhile to the East, Marxism-Leninism and Maoism spread far greater than in OTL, on top of Lysenkoism being butterflied away and shadow prices implemented to guide socialist economic planning. Socialist leaders begin to do what Mao did in OTL, and encourage reproduction in anticipation of a nuclear war.
In the US but also the Americas more broadly, we see the rise of Quiverfull-style Christian movements in the 1950s anticipating a similar conflict, and fears abound of "Christian Genocide" where Christians would be outbred by communist (and to a lesser extent, Nazi) heathens.
By the 1970s-80s assuming everybody manages to avoid WW3, the world looks like something of a cross between Blade Runner and pre-war Fallout, in a 4-way Cold War between the US, USSR, Nazis, and China. All four superpowers encourage their populations to have as many children as possible, anticipating an imminent nuclear war for which plenty of volunteers will be needed to repopulate the world.
